"For Mike" was an investigation into the legacy of the Oka Standoff. With four TV sets playing footage of the infamous rock throwing at Whiskey Trench, set to a laugh track, I smashed the TVs with a golf club. To bring everyone back from this, I re-purposed a piece by deceased Mik'Maq video artist Mike McDonald, screening reversed footage of the rock throwing set to the "Encouragement Song" by Sissy Goodhouse.
